Request for Qualifications Question Responses
In section 5.4 point iii vendors are asked to demonstrate capabilities in 'minimum conditions for network management operations' as they relate to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft OCS and Microsoft Sharepoint. Can you please expand on what is meant by 'minimum conditions'.
Knowing that Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) and Microsoft SharePoint are all mandatory as part of our landscape.
Can you please elaborate on the following two scope items as mentioned in Appendix B - Scope of Services under Data & Voice Network Services Bundle at page 14?
1. Integration of real time communication services such as Enterprise Instant Messaging, Video Conferencing, VOIP , Enterprise Telephony, Mobile Applications and non-real time communication services such as unified messaging (Email, Voice Mail etc.)
We believe there is integration between these services (e.g., ability to show presence) and want to ensure this is provided.
2. Voice Network
• Provisioning, support and maintenance of the voice network
• Provisioning access to external vendors/contractors
• Break/fix support
Core telephony services will be provided by FCC’s existing telecommunications vendors across Canada. The Respondent’s role will be to provide coordination with the telco’s and administration support for FCC users
