A lot of young people love agriculture. It’s easy to see why. Each year, agriculture and agribusiness contribute $130 billion to our economy. In fact, they provide one in eight jobs. FCC supports young farmers at every stage. Over $5 billion in standard and customized loans have been disbursed to young farmers over the last four years. Together, we’re creating a solid future for the industry.

Rural youth
Our support begins early for young farmers. We’ve partnered with 4-H for over two decades. In Quebec, we partner with the Association des jeunes ruraux du Québec (French only) and the Fédération de la relève agricole du Québec programs for rural youth and young adults.

The FCC 4-H 4-Ever grant program provides up to $500 for individual Canadian 4-H clubs to help cover things such as start-up costs, transportation, equipment and supplies.

College and university studies
We support the Canadian Association of Diploma in Agriculture Programs and encourage students in their studies.

FCC on Campus provides free FCC Management Software for accounting students who use AgExpert Analyst in their curriculum. 

The FCC Business Planning Award is open to agriculture students at participating colleges and rewards those who build strong business plans.

Startup and in operation 
We’re building success for young farmers through financing and sharing knowledge.

FCC loans, like Transition and First Step, offer flexible options and features, helping young farmers get their operations up and running.

FCC Learning programs are free of charge and cover topics including transferring the farm, succession planning, and vision and goal setting.

AgriSuccess, FCC Express and Knowledge Insider are free FCC publications that help young farmers develop a better understanding of agriculture.

FCC is a national sponsor of the Canadian Young Farmers’ Forum, and is also a regional sponsor of Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers’ Program.
